Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer
I wanted to give a review of Tony Horton’s Ten Minute Trainer because people have asked me if it really works.
My experience: I lost 20 pounds in a month an half by committing to Tony Horton’s Ten Minute Trainer and changing my diet.
Yes, you can have those results too. Tony Horton’s Ten Minute Trainer is designed so that ANYONE can do it.
Here’s how: Improve your diet and commit to Tony Horton’s Ten Minute Trainer for at least one month. Improving your diet can be pretty simple, actually, and you will NOT get the results you want if you don’t. You can get some results, but they won’t be as dramatic as you want.
Here are some tips for quickly improving your diet:
- Switch to fat-free or skim milk
- Switch to fat-free or 1% cottage cheese
- Buy only fat-free yogurt
- Eat one serving of dairy and fruit with breakfast
- Reduce your carbohydrate intake (most people eat WAY too many carbs)
- Consume complex carbohydrates over simple carbohydrates
- Complex carbohydrates are readily found in foods such as vegetables and whole-grain breads
- Eat LOTS of vegetables
- Drink LOTS of water
You too will find that Tony Horton’s Ten Minute Trainer is very effective because Tony makes it FUN! He has a nutty sense of humor that really does help you get through the exercises. In addition, he shows you how to modify any of the exercises you may be struggling with. Combine that with his constant encouragement, explanations, and telling you that it’s ok if you can’t do all the reps, and you practically have to try to not get results.
Here are the routines featured in Tony Horton’s Ten Minute Trainer:
- Cardio
- Yoga Flex
- Total Body
- Lower Body
- Abs

Helpful Accessories for P90X
A few people have asked me what equipment is necessary or just helpful to have throughout the course of P90X. Here I will list the equipment that is required and equipment which is just helpful to have.
Required:
- P90X Chin-Up Bar or B-LINES Bands Super Kit (best seller among men), or B-LINES Bands Standard Kit (best seller among women), or a set of dumbbells.
- Chair
- Towel
That is all that’s absolutely required to do the exercises P90X contains. Now, there is certain other equipment which will definitely make many of the exercises more effective.
.
.
Optional (I highly recommend):
- Heart rate monitor
- Bar stool (29”)
- Push-up stands
- Yoga/general exercise mat
- Yoga blocks
- Body fat tester
- Water bottle
If you have the optional equipment, you’ll find many of the exercises to be more effective than if you performed them without it. Also, it can make many of the exercises more convenient or easier to perform.
